The news of the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput gave a shock to the entire entertainment industry. The versatile actor has shown his talent through television shows and films. Ever since the unfortunate news of Sushant's death has come, tributes are being paid from across the country. While many stars have stepped onto social media and shared their views on the actor's demise, his former co-star 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil' Meher Vij recalled the humble star. In 2008, Mehar Vij played the actor's onscreen wife in Sushant's debut TV show.

While expressing her grief and pain over Sushant's death, Meher said, "We have lost a very talented and very hard working person. My heart cries out loud for his fans and all those who loved him". She further stated that she was not in touch with the actor after her show. "I was not in touch with him but I cherish every moment I worked with him in the early days of television. may his soul rest in peace."

Sushant played the role of Preet Juneja in the show, in which Harshad Chopra played the lead role. However, the late actor gained much popularity. He then got his big ticket in Bollywood with Kai Po Che in 2013 and worked in movies like PK, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. His last film was Chhichhore with Shraddha Kapoor.
