Indore: A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held at Mantralaya under the chairmanship of Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In this, it was decided to allot 1.215 hectare land free of cost to Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Memorial Foundation in Indore village town. Former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat expressed their gratitude to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on this free land allotment.

Former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said that we had asked for land near the old RTO office for this. I have not received the papers yet. It will be known only when the paper comes that where and how much land has been received. The land has been found, it is a huge task, now we have to plan the memorial. We will make this memorial in such a way that it reflects the values of Ahilya Maa throughout her life. Whatever work she has done in her life, we will try to cover it all in this memorial. This memorial will give culture and value to the coming generations. It was my dream that I could get it made, today it has started.

On this decision, on behalf of the people of Indore, we express our gratitude to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the Revenue Minister. Mother Devi Ahilyabai Holkar is the pride of Indore. With the construction of a memorial and installation of a statue in his memory, the pride of Indore will increase in the country and abroad.
