Mercedes-Benz India widens scope- Inaugurates new parts Warehouse

Mercedes-Benz takes another step forward to widen their productivity and skills in India, as it inaugurates the largest part manufacturing warehouse in the luxury car industry and also sets up the largest retail training academy in South Asia- the Mercedes-Benz Academy. Both of these were inaugurated by Dr. Till Conrad, Head-Region Overseas, Mercedes-Benz Cars at Daimler AG and Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

The manufacturing warehouse of parts is located over an area of 16500 Sq. Metres which can accommodate up to 44,000 Stock Keeping Units and is equipped with LED lights for energy saving with motion sensors. Also for loading and dispatching of the product, there are 10 outbound docks whereas 6 outbound docks for receiving of product manufacturing material. 50 locations will get served from this warehouse facility.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Conrad said, "India remains one of the bright spots for Mercedes-Benz and this critical expansion of infrastructure and investment in retail training signifies our strong customer centric approach and long-term vision; which underlines our confidence in the Indian market."
