New Delhi: Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the S 63 e Performance, the company's flagship limousine model for the international markets.

The sedan is available with a powerful hybrid drivetrain that combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a rear axle-mounted electric motor.

Highlights include a redesigned front fascia and improved mechanicals for the four-wheelers, retaining the general design of the regular S-Class.

Known for making some of the most powerful V6, V8 and V12 engines in the world, Mercedes-Benz's AMG division has achieved success in many motorsports including Formula 1, DTM and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The company's most powerful version of the S-Class flagship model, the S 63 E Performance, has just been unveiled.

The 2023 Mercedes-AMG S 63 e Performance features a tall, muscular bonnet, a large "Panamericana" grille with forward-facing radar array, swept-back LED headlights and a wide air dam. It has a distinctive three-box appearance.

ORVMs, flared wheel arches and 21-inch designer alloy wheels frame the sides of the sedan.
Options at the rear include a diffuser and wraparound LED taillights.

A 4.0-litre, liquid-cooled, twin-turbocharged V8 engine powers the 2023 Mercedes-AMG S 63 e Performance, producing 791 horsepower and 1,430 Nm of peak torque. The mill is mated to a 9-speed transmission.

The interiors of the 2023 Mercedes-AMG S 63 e Performance feature premium upholstery, ventilated front seats, multicolour ambient lighting, four-zone climate control with rear AC vents, a panoramic sunroof and a multifunctional steering wheel. It also gets a five-seater cabin which is both opulent and sporty.

The sedan gets a floating-style MBUX infotainment panel and a digital instrument cluster.
Multiple airbags and ADAS features keep the passengers safe.

The brand is yet to reveal the pricing and availability of the 2023 Mercedes-AMG S 63e Performance. We predict that the sedan will be more expensive than the current model, which retails for $152,595 (roughly Rs. 1.26 crores) in the US.
