New Delhi: Mercedes-Benz has introduced a G-Class (G400d) model specifically for India, with an MSRP of Rs. 2.55 crore (ex-showroom). The model is available in two trim levels: Adventure Edition and AMG Line, and it takes the place of the G350f trim in the brand's lineup.

One of Mercedes-Benz's most recognisable and popular models worldwide is the G-Class. The SUV has reached the five lakh unit sales milestone since its debut in 1979.
The off-roader, famous for its tough appearance and strong engine choices, was initially created for the Austrian military.

In addition to having a clamshell bonnet, a blacked-out grille, circular LED headlights with DRLs, squared windows, ORVMs, side steppers, flared wheel arches, 18/20-inch alloy wheels and a spare wheel mounted on the tailboard, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G400d) has a typical boxy silhouette.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G400d) dimensions are 4,816 mm in length, 1,976 mm in width, 1,938 mm in height, and 2,850 mm in wheelbase.

With leather upholstery, multi-contour front seats with active side bolsters, 64-color ambient lighting, a top Burmester sound system, a digital instrument panel, and an MBUX infotainment console, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G400d) has a luxurious interior.

The 3.0-liter, V6 diesel engine that powers the Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G400d) produces a maximum of 325 horsepower and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. It's connected to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G400d) costs Rs. 2.55 crore in India.

Our opinion is that the G-Class, with its macho exterior, roomy interior, state-of-the-art MBUX infotainment console, and potent V6 diesel engine, makes more sense on our soil.
