Mumbai: A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against the veteran actor of Hindi Cinema -Nana Patekar and three others at Oshiwara police station following a complaint by Ashique Banaya Apne actress Tanushree Dutta late on Wednesday night. Reports suggested that Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Rakesh Sarang, producer Samee Siddiqui were booked for molestation and obscene behaviour, under section 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Earlier Tanushree Dutta visited the police station and submitted a written complaint, urging that a case of molestation and sexual harassment be filed against the alleged accused along with workers of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, who had attacked her car while she was leaving the studio in 2008.

Police filed two page complaint in this case, wherein the actress Dutta accused Patekar of misconduct on the sets of ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ at Filimistan Studios in Goregaon west in March 2008. In her allegations Dutta accused Patekar of “indecently and unncessarily” touching her under the alleged reason of teaching her how to dance. Ganesh Acharya, on the other hand, has been accused of introducing new steps into the song to take in Patekar, who was in the beginning not a part of it.

Prior to this Nana Patekar has also sent a notice to Tanushree in which she has been asked to make an apology within a predetermined period of time. A police official told Times of India that Tanushree recorded her statement saying that she was touched wrongly by Nana Patekar during the song shoot even after she had mentioned that she will not perform vulgar and intimate steps.

Worth mention here The Maharashtra State commission for Women has also issued notices to Nana Patekar, Samee Siddiqui, Rakesh Sarang and Ganesh Acharya. The commission has also written to Mumbai police to make inquiries about the action taken in the case.
