#MeToo movement: Mumbai’s Sessions Court rejects Alok Nath’s anticipatory bail plea

The Me Too movement in India  bought the revolutionary change in the entertainment Industry to make the workplace safer for women workers. All this began after Tanushree Dutta’s accusation against actor Nana Patekar. Tanushree’ s story gave strength to many women to open up about their ordeal. Many celebrities has been accused of Sexual harrassment in this movement.   Alok Nath, who has been accused of sexual harassment and rape by screenwriter and producer Vinta Nanda, applied for an anticipatory bail recently at the Dindoshi Sessions Court to avoid any arrest in connection with the case.

As per the reports,  Mumbai’s Sessions Court has rejected his plea of Alok Nath. This decision gives the judiciary and the police the right to arrest him as per law when required. As per the sources, a group of senior lawyers had flown down to Mumbai from Delhi to file the anticipatory bail on his behalf.  

Earlier, Vinta opened up about her horrific incident in the wake of the Me Too movement . Vinta in a FB post recounted the horror without naming the person but defined him as the "most sanskari" person. During the long course, Alok spewed hatred against Nanda, but the producer held her own and filed an FIR later with regards to her complaint.
