MG Motor has started its first innings in India with an SUV. MG Hector is getting better support from Indian customers. Also, in August 2019, it has sold 2,018 units. As per the information received, Mahindra XUV500 has sold 968 units in August 2019. It sold 2,078 units in August 2018. Its sales have fallen by 53 per cent over the previous month of August. At the same time, 635 units of Tata Harrier have been sold in August 2019. Whereas, Jeep Compass has sold 605 units in August 2019.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine in MG Hector generates 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of peak torque to attract customers. Also, the 1.5-litre petrol hybrid generates 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Whereas, the 2.0-litre diesel engine generates 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. MG Hector's 1.5-litre petrol engine is equipped with a 6-speed MT. There is also an option of DCT. At the same time, the 1.5-litre petrol hybrid and 2.0-litre diesel engine is equipped with a 6-speed MT. MG Hector's starting ex-showroom price is Rs. 12.18 lakhs, which goes up to Rs. 16.88 lakhs. When will bookings begin? - MG Motor It was said on behalf of the company that booking will be started only after completing the first waiting, but if the reports are to be believed then now the company can resume booking of MG Hector from October.
