New Delhi: At the Auto Expo 2023, MG Motor introduced the redesigned Hector and Hector Plus SUVs in India. The cars have a modified exterior and interior along with a long list of technologically advanced features. They are still given a choice of petrol and diesel engines for the powertrain of the vehicle.

Compared to their predecessors, the MG Hector and Hector Plus from 2023 are more attractive and come with more features. The vehicles include ADAS and the largest mass-market infotainment panel ever at 14.0 inches.

While the Hector Plus rivals the likes of the Hyundai ALCAZAR and the Tata Safari, the Hector Plus rivals the likes of the Mahindra XUV700 and the Tata Harrier.

The 2023 Hector and Hector Plus get long hoods, a large grille with a diamond-like pattern, bumper-mounted pentagonal headlamps, large air vents and LED DRLs.

Roof rails, black pillars, ORVMs, flared wheel arches and 18-inch alloy wheels surround it on either side. The rear gets a new bumper and taillights joined by a red stripe.

1.5-litre gasoline engine that produces 143 hp/250 Nm and 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 170 hp/350 Nm power the redesigned Hector and Hector Plus. Both CVT gearbox and 6-speed manual transmission are available.

A new dashboard with D-shaped AC vents, a center console with faux aluminum trim, and a multifunctional steering wheel are features on the five-seater Hector and six/seven-seater Hector Plus.

These include a 14.0-inch iSmart touchscreen infotainment system and a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster. Passenger safety is guaranteed by forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, blindspot detection and lane-departure warning.

Starting at Rs. 14.72 lakh and going up to Rs. 21.72 Lakh, is the price of 2023 MG Hector. On the other hand, the starting price of Hector Plus is Rs. 17.49 lakh and goes up to Rs. 22.42 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
