After a long time competing for the sale of their Windows Phone with Google's Android and Apple's iOS operating system (OS), Microsoft has now accepted that Windows Phone has died. The company is no longer developing any new feature or hardware for it.

Microsoft's Windows 10 smartphone will no longer receive any new updates. Corporate Vice President Joe Belfiore tweeted this information.

Belfiore is the head of PC-tablet phone division in Microsoft. They announced on Sunday that Windows 10 phones will not get any new features anymore. Nor will there be any hardware changes in the front and center of the phone.

Belfiore wrote in his tweet - Microsoft will continuously support Windows 10 mobile phones. This support will be as a bug fixing and security update, but users will no longer get any new software and feature updates.

One of the answers to the question of users was a question from Belfiore: 'Should we shift from Windows Phone to the Android platform now?' Belfiore wrote on this - 'Choose what you feel better.'

Last year Satya Nedela gave a hint to drop the Windows 10 smartphone in a conference. Let Microsoft know that mobile software was launched in 1996 with Windows CE while Apple launched iOS in 2007. At the same time, Google had stepped into the Android area in 2008.

Devices that use Windows OS include HP Elite X3, Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, Microsoft Lumia 950 and Nokia Lumia 930. Bill Gates has already stopped using Windows Phone. HP Inc. has stopped production of its flagship Windows handset. HP Inc. recently acknowledged that there will not be any new phone in its current 'Elite' Windows Smartphone lineup.
