New Delhi:- Microsoft today announced the appointment of Puneet Chandok as vice president of Microsoft India and South Asia. Effective September 1, 2023, he will assume executive responsibility from Anant Maheshwari.

Backed by a strong leadership team, Puneet will oversee the integration of Microsoft's businesses across South Asia, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, strengthening the company's presence in the region. region, while focusing more deeply on key industries through a customer-centric approach with innovative AI at its core.

Puneet joined Microsoft from AWS, where he led the company's operations in India and South Asia, working closely with businesses, digital businesses, startups and SMEs to help them reduce technical debt, providing flexibility and innovation. Previously, Puneet was a McKinsey partner in India and Asia, and held regional and global leadership roles at IBM. Puneet holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, a Bachelor of Commerce and a degree in computer programming, networks and advanced computer systems.
