During the Corona period, due to hunger and despair, lakhs of workers had left the cities and returned to their home in Bihar. But now these reasons have forced them to return to the cities that they had left for fear of Coronavirus. Hunger and hopelessness are forcing them to return to Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Punjab. Employers of these migrants, many of whom had left them during the lockdown, are now sending train and even plane tickets to bring them back as factories have started.

Mail and Express trains are running for places like Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, from where sometimes these workers were walking, cycling. On an average 133 percent in Muzaffarpur-Ahmedabad special train, 126 percent in Danapur-Secunderabad special train, 123 percent in Jayanagar-Amritsar special train, 120 percent in Danapur-Bangalore special train, 117 percent in Patna-Ahmedabad special train, Saharsa-new.  On an average, 113 per cent of the passengers are travelling on the Delhi special train and 102 percent of the passengers on the Danapur-Pune special train.

Apart from this, Rajesh Kumar, the chief public relations officer of East Central Railway, said that the railway is closely monitoring the waiting list and quickly updating the status of the reservation to facilitate travel. He said, if needed, more trains can be run on heavy traffic routes. The East Central Railway consists of Danapur, Sonpur, Deendayal Upadhyay, Samastipur and Dhanbad railway divisions.
