Due to the lockdown, work of sending migrant workers trapped in Telangana to their state is going on. State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar said that till Saturday, 1.22 lakh migrant laborers have been transported from 88 stations to their places of origin from various stations of the state. At the same time, more than 1800 cases of corona virus have been reported in the state.

In addition to this, Kumar said that a total of 46 trains have been scheduled to take 50,000 migrant workers to their destination on Saturday night. Apart from the convenience of transportation, the state government has also made arrangements for food packets, drinking water and fruits for each migrant worker. Also, the official said, 'Six trains will leave from Nampally railway station in Hyderabad, while another 40 trains will depart from other stations in Telangana.'
