Mike Pompeo pays tribute to Galwan martyrs at National War Memorial

New Delhi: India and the US signed the BECA Agreement (Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement) on Monday in the third '2 + 2' ministerial meeting held in New Delhi. After this agreement, information can be easily shared between India-US. After the meeting, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Defense Minister Mark Asper and Indian Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar and Rajnath Singh issued a joint statement.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that in the meeting, both countries have detailed discussions on many important issues and the BECA agreement is an important step. Mike Pompeo also referred to the violence in the Galwan Valley in the month of June. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, "Our military-level cooperation with the US is progressing very brilliantly, projects have been identified for joint development of defence equipment. We again express our commitment to peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region. ''

During the joint statement, the US also attacked China. Referring to Galwan, Mike Pompeo said, "We visited the National War Memorial, where we paid tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces." It also included 20 soldiers who had received martyr in the Galwan Valley.
