Milap Zaveri refutes the rumours of Mumtaz's death

The news of ‘70s actress Mumtaz death is creating buzz on the social media.. In fact, noted trade analyst Komal Nahta also posted  a tweet claiming that the veteran actress had died. But Mumtaz is very much alive and absolutaley fine. Filmmaker Milap Zaveri, known for his humongous success last year with John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate, took to his Twitter account yesterday to rubbish news of Mumtaz’s death.

Milap confirmed that he in fact has spoken to her nephew and she is perfectly well and alive. The director further asked people on social media to stop circulating this false piece on news. He took to Twitter and wrote, "Mumtaz Aunty is alive and absolutely fine. Just spoke to her and @Shaadrandhawa her nephew. She would like for the rumors to stop (sic)." In another tweet, the director emphasised on the fact that the legendary actress is 'hale and hearty'.

Later, Komal Nahta aslo took to his Twitter account and apologised for his tweet about Mumtaz’s death. The film trade analyst wrote an heartfelt and embarrassed note, admitting his wrong tweet that sparked the rumours of her death. He wrote, “Extremely sorry for posting news about Mumtaz ji’s demise. By God’s grace, she is hale and hearty. The incorrect news is gaining ground in the film trade. But to set the record straight, Mumtaz ji is absolutely fine.”
