Newly recruited militant from Shopian arrested in Kashmir's Kulgam

Srinagar: In the meantime, security forces have continued their campaign against terrorism in the Kashmir Valley following the guidelines on corona epidemic in the country. Kulgam police have detained a terrorist from Kulgam district of south Kashmir with the help of army and other security forces. The terrorist from Shopian had recently joined the terror outfit.

The terrorist was arrested in a special search operation launched by the same security forces. It has been identified as Imam Sahib Shopian, a resident of Shakir Ahmed. Police are trying to gather other news related to the organisation by arresting the terrorist. Police sources said the police had been searching for Shakir since he went missing from his house. He suspected that he had joined the terror outfit.

Reliable sources informed him that Shakir had joined the terror outfit and was currently hiding in Frisal Yasipora in Kulgam district. Without losing time, sog personnel of police along with special army and CRPF squad raided Yaripora and detained Shakir who was hiding in a secret place. Shakir joined an organisation so far police have not reported in this regard. He is currently being arrested and information related to the organisation is being sought.
