Dehradun: Two persons were seriously injured when a private bus collided with a motorcycle in Uttarakhand's Bagwan, police said on Sunday. However, shortly after the accident, cabinet minister Saurabh Bahuguna saw the injured persons and took them to the hospital in his car, which saved their lives.  

The minister also reached the hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured persons. Rudraprayag MLA Bharat Chaudhary was also present with him. Cabinet minister Saurabh Bahuguna was returning to Dehradun after meeting party workers in Srinagar. At the same time, both the injured persons are undergoing treatment at the hospital in Srikot.    

According to the news received, the bus was going from Rishikesh to Guptkashi, when suddenly two motorcycle-borne youths came in front of the bus and collided with the bus. Both fell off the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. The injured persons have been identified as Ashish Kesari and Anees Kumar. Both hail from the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. Kirtinagar Kotwal Chandrabhan Singh said that both the injured boys were taken to the hospital by Minister Saurabh Bahuguna in his vehicle where their condition is said to be out of danger.
