Lucknow: Voting for the third phase of polling is being held today in the country's largest state UP. Polling is underway in the third phase in Hathras, Firozabad, Etah, Kasganj, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Hamirpur and Mahoba districts. In Uttar Pradesh, 21.18 per cent voting has been recorded till 11 pm. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple Yadav cast their votes in Saifai.  

Kanpur Collector Neha Sharma said that so far three such cases have been reported in which the secrecy of voting has been breached, we have taken action in all three cases. In Kanpur, state Cabinet Minister Satish Mahana had a dangerous clash with security personnel in Jarauli. The activists alleged that a jawan of the central police force hurled abuses. At this, the minister arrived and warned a soldier. There was a dispute for a long time. When the local police reached the spot, they intervened.

Polling is underway in the third phase of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh in all three seats of the Etawah district. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people about voting. There have been long queues at the booths since morning. Young, old, women are vying to vote. Samajwadi Party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav also cast his vote in Saifai.
