Hyderabad: BJP national leader and Telangana in-charge Tarun Chugh released the manifesto for Huzurabad by-election. That said, the party will develop all the railway stations in the Huzurabad constituency. This will create ROBs at all the required locations. He said that the party would give 3,000 pension to all farmers above 60 years of age. BJP will provide financial assistance to those people who want to pursue higher education abroad. According to Chugh, the party will take steps to strengthen the Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao and Ayushman Bharat schemes across the state. He promised to provide pure drinking water to all the villages of the area.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao termed the BJP's manifesto released for Huzurabad constituency as a big joke and irrelevant. Participating in the election campaign at Ilanthakunta Mandal Headquarters, Harish Rao said that BJP leaders should tell what they will do for Huzurabad constituency if their candidate is chosen in the by-elections, but they failed to reply all these days. Talking about the BJP's promise of providing drinking water to every household, the minister said that the TRS government started supplying drinking water to every house hold four years ago under Mission Bhagiratha. He said that BJP leaders are not aware of their constituency.
During the 2014 election campaign, the BJP had promised to recruit 2 crore jobs every year and instead of fulfilling its old promise, the BJP is making new promises of providing employment to the local youth, he said. On the promise of Rs 3,000 pension, Harish Rao said that the BJP government in Gujarat is providing only Rs 600 pension and wondered how BJP state leaders would give Rs 3,000 pension in Huzurabad.
