New Delhi: On Thursday, the Union Ministry of Tourism and Alliance Air Aviation Limited (AAAL) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to increase tourism across the country.
According to an official statement, the ministry strives to promote India as a desirable destination in tourism-generating markets, while AAAL, with its extensive domestic network, plays a critical role in the promotion of tourism in the country.
"The MoU was signed with the goal of achieving a common goal of cooperative domestic promotion and taking into account the necessity to synergize the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Alliance Air Aviation in the tourism markets," the statement continued.
The MoU was signed by Rupinder Brar and Vineet Sood, Alliance Air's chief executive officer. Alliance Air is leading the charge in promoting the government's Regional Connectivity Scheme, which is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) initiative.The MoU's goals are to fulfil an integrated marketing and promotional plan as well as a synergy.
