Recently, 'Ram Siya Ke Love Kush' started on Colors TV but the ruckus has now taken a serious shape. While the Valmiki community has been demanding a ban on it, alleging that it allegedly distorted historical facts, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has now issued a show-cause notice to the channel. Issuing the notice, the ministry has asked the channel to reply and appear within 15 days.

It has been seen that this show is propagating false information by distorting historical facts. Also, it is presenting the wrong image of the Valmiki community and hurting religious sentiments. The community has also warned that if the broadcast of the show is not stopped immediately, it will stage protests across the country. '' This notice further states, 'The show shows that Lord Sri Ram is meeting Love and Kush Maharishi goes to Valmiki's ashram, which is not true. Ram met Luv and Kush during Ashwamedha when they both caught the horse of Ashwamedha Yagna abandoned by Rama.

According to media reports, in Punjab, on Saturday, September 8, the Valmiki community held a one-day bandh, during which incidents of violence occurred in many parts of the state and normal life was disrupted. Apart from this, singer and BJP leader Hansraj Hans also demanded Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar to ban 'Ram Siya's Love Kush'. In this regard, he also wrote a letter to Javadekar.
