Minor girl gang-raped in UP’s Muzaffarnagar orchard

Muzaffarnagar:  In a fresh incident of crime, a minor girl was reportedly gang-raped by two men after they took her to an orchard on some pretext in Muzaffarnagar district. The accused also recorded the criminal act and made it viral on the internet. Later, the victim fled from her house fearing being shamed.

 

According to reports, police have now traced the girl and initiated action against the accused. The dreadful incident took place in BHOPA area of the district. A woman has filed a complaint with the police mentioning her 17-year-old daughter was taken away by one village resident Shubham on some pretext. He later allegedly gang-raped the girl along with his other friend Ashish, the report adds.

The accused also reportedly threatened to kill the girl if she revealed the crime to anyone. The two men also shot a clip of the criminal act and abandoned the girl. The girl's family came to know of the crime after the accused made the obscene clip viral on social media. When the family asked the girl about the incident, she ran away from home on Saturday evening. The family immediately informed the police and filed an FIR naming Ashish and Shubham.    The police also recovered the victim from outside the village and sent her for medical examination. The police have been conducting raids to nab the accused.
