Greater Noida, In a shocking incident, two persons kidnapped and raped a 13-year-old girl in Jewar area.

Superintendent of Police (rural) Abhishek Yadav said, “villagers nabbed one of the accused, Ashish Bhati of Vair village, and handed him over to police”.

The accused kidnaped girl from the Tappal Road market yesterday in broad day light and taken to Yamuna Expressway Sabota interchange and then they took her to a sugarcane field where they took turns to rape her.

It has been alleged by the victim’s relatives that there was no woman police official when the girl was taken by the police.

They also claimed that policemen did not allow them to meet her for a few hours.

An FIR under relevant provisions of law has been filed and the victim was sent for medical examination.

A search is underway on this matter and the police is trying to nab the accused.
