NEW DELHI: The Pak Cricket Board has relieved the head coach and selector from his post in a major step forward. Given the team's poor performance in the recent World Cup, it was expected that the board was going to take some major step. The board has adopted a new model in which former team captain Misbah-ul-Haq will be seen playing the dual role of coach and chief selector at the same time. Misbah has been given the responsibility of 'Camp Commandant' for the practice camp which runs from Thursday 22nd August to 7th September.

According to media reports, Misbah has also selected the players for the training camp and will now give training to all of them. It is believed that this PCB is part of that new model. THE PCB's International Cricket Director Zakir Khan had said that the senior team is considering to bring three models for the board panel for election. The first model will consist of three or four other members and a chairman.

In the second model, it will be the responsibility for the coaches of six state teams with the main selector to explore better talent and inform the chief selector about those players. According to the third model, there will be only one person who will work as the head coach and chief selector. Let him report the coaches of all the six state teams and inform him about all the players he has chosen. The batsman coach Grant Flower had made several serious allegations on the board.
