Lahore: Pakistan has appointed Misbah-ul-Haq as the new coach of the team. He has given a big statement on the team after being appointed as coach. Misbah said that a complete change is needed in the dressing room culture of the team and a complete change in the country's cricket structure will take time. Pakistan's most successful Test captain Misbah has also been assigned the role of the chief selector.
The Pakistani team failed to reach the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup in July, prompting the Pakistan Cricket Board to decide not to extend the tenure of head coach Mickey Arthur. Misbah said, '"Being a coach, I will try to build a team that plays aggressively and wins easily. But then at certain times you have to assess the strength of the opponent and make your strategy accordingly.
In real life you have to make a strategy based on the available players, I will do the same. He said, 'Of course, in the end, the goal is that you have a very strong team, but we have to start with what is available with us. A radical change in the cricket structure will take time. Apart from Misbah, the Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed former fast bowler Waqar Younis as bowling coach for three years.
