Blowing up ATM machines with explosives to break into vaults has been emerging as a new threat to banks in Maharashtra In the latest incident, miscreants blew an ATM machine using explosive material and stole around 28 lakhs of rupees.
Miscreants broke the cash dispenser at an ATM kiosk near Chakan in Pune with a blast using an improvised explosive device and looted ₹28 lakh cash on Wednesday. "Based on the available clues it seems that there were two suspects who came to the ATM kiosk...there was around ₹40 lakh in the dispenser," DCP Manchak Ippar said
DCP further assured that soon the miscreants will be arrested as the search for the two is going on. He also assured that no such incident will happen in the future he said, " we will install eye security as well CCTV security and alarming devices outside such kiosks and ATMs".
