Patna: A major incident in Patna in Bihar's capital on Saturday evening created a panic. Abhishek Verma alias Mastu and his accomplice Sunil Kumar, a resident of Patna City, were shot dead by criminals near Kasera Dharmakanta on NH in the Bypass police station area. The criminals fled after committing the crime. Abhishek Verma was a criminal in the Gunjan Khemka murder case and was also booked in several police stations. Sunil Kumar's wife Abha Nisha was sitting in the back seat of the car at the time of the incident, her daughter, sister-in-law and her child, who did not do anything.

Police said, both Abhishek Verma alias Mastu and Sunil Kumar had left for Delhi by car on Saturday evening. At around 6.30 pm, unidentified miscreants started firing at the duo near Kasera Dharma Kanta under the bypass police station. Both were brought to NMCH for treatment with injuries where doctors declared both of them were brought dead.

Abha Nisha, wife of deceased Sunil Kumar, who was the eyewitness to the incident, said that our car was stuck in a jam on the bypass. Suddenly a man came and started firing at Mastu sitting in the front seat and my husband driving the car. He was hit by bullets on his head and body. The criminal fled from the middle of the jam and the crowd firing. Abha Nisha has also said that she boarded her husband and Mastu on auto and somehow first reached a private hospital and then NMCH where doctors declared him brought dead.
