New Delhi: Four miscreants held the mother and son hostage and looted Rs 40 lakh from them in rani bagh area of the national capital. Following the incident, the police have registered an FIR against the unidentified miscreants. According to the information, Ajay Kumar's electric appliances showroom is located in Saraswati Vihar. He was watching the functioning of the showroom with his mother Renu Devi on Monday night, while all the employees working in his showroom had already gone to their homes by this time.

The mother-son duo was preparing to finish the work of the showroom and go home, in the meantime, 4 masked youths forcibly entered the showroom. Everyone had a pistol in their hands. The miscreants went straight to the place where the money was kept. When they were withdrawing the money, the mother and son opposed it. After which the miscreants showed a pistol and pushed the elderly woman. They then fled the spot in a two-wheeler.

After they left, Ajay informed the police about the robbery. Investigations so far have revealed that the miscreants roamed around the area for a long time. Then climbed the flyover and fled towards Peeragarhi. A police official said the money belonged to the committee which was deposited by several hundred people.
