Kolkata: Assembly elections in West Bengal are going to be held next year, but the political atmosphere has become hot in the state. The battle for politics has come not only through verbal attacks but also stone-pelting. The protesters threw stones at Diamond Harbor on the car of Kailash Vijay, a senior BJP leader and Bengal in-charge, today.

BJP national president JP Nadda's convoy was also attacked and hurled stones. BJP leaders have accused TMC workers for this incident. Vijayvargiya and his staff narrowly survived the stone-pelting incident. Stones were thrown on Vijayvargiya's car when he was going to South 24 Parganas. The protesters also tried to close the road from where the convoy of BJP President JP Nadda was passing.

Today is the second day of JP Nadda's tour of Bengal. On the first day, there has been a big mistake in the safety of Nadda. On this matter, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has ordered the officials of the Ministry to ask the West Bengal government why and how the security lapse occurred. Bengal BJP unit chief Dilip Ghosh wrote a letter to Amit Shah JP Nadda about his safety.
