As per a health department official, Mizoram reported 518 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, dropping 385 from the previous day, bringing the state's total to 1,46,045 cases.

The death toll has risen to 561 as three more people, including a Myanmar national, died to the sickness in the last 24 hours. The single-day positive percentage for fresh cases found from 2,694 sample tests was 19.23%.  He claimed Champhai district had the most new cases, with 216, followed by Aizawl (110), and Mamit (108).

The number of active cases has risen to 4,612, with 270 persons recovering from the virus in the previous 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 1,40,872. COVID-19 patients had a recovery rate of 96.45Z percent and a death rate of 0.38 percent. COVID-19 has been tested on 15.40 lakh samples in the northeastern state thus far, with 2,694 samples analysed on Sunday.

According to state immunisation officer Dr. Lalzawmi, approximately 7.46 lakh people had been vaccinated as of Saturday, including 13,775 children (15-17 years). She stated that 5.94 lakh persons out of a total of 7.46 lakh have received the full dose.
