A woman's body was found in her yard in Nghalimlui village, Lawngtlai district, Mizoram.

It's believed that the woman was raped before she was murdered. Sadin Mela has been identified as the lady, according to reports. She has been missing since January 6th. There have been several attempts to find her since then, but she was found dead in her vegetable garden on Friday.

The case has been sent to the police for the further investigation. Mizoram is one of the states in the country with the lowest crime rates. When compared to other states, Mizoram's crime rate against women is regarded to be quite low, with 33 incidents of rape reported in 2020.
