Bhubaneswar: A case of assault on the CBI team at Dhenkanal in Odisha has come to light. It is reported that the CBI team had arrived here to conduct raids in online child abuse cases (Child Pornography). Meanwhile, an angry mob assaulted the team. The local police rescued CBI officers.

In fact, in the case, the CBI had raided 77 locations in 14 states including UP, Odisha on Tuesday in connection with the online child abuse case. The raids range from small districts like Jalaun, Mau in UP to big cities like Noida and Ghaziabad and Nagaur Jaipur Ajmer in Rajasthan to Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The CBI team had reached Dhenkanal in Odisha to conduct raids in connection with the online child abuse case. The team raided Surendra Nayak's house in Dhenkanal around 7 am. The CBI team continued to interrogate till noon. Meanwhile, locals were outraged over something. They then attacked CBI officers.
The women with wooden planks are also reported to have cordoned off CBI officers. They were then assaulted. The mob allegedly dragged the authorities out of the house before attacking the team. They were then assaulted. Police later rescued CBI officers from the enraged mob.
