The Hindu temple in Pakistan has once again been targeted. In fact, a temple was destroyed by a mob in Punjab province here. Not only that, but a large part of it was also set on fire. At the same time, the idols installed in the temple were also demolished. The police were also present during this period but only as silent spectators. The police completely failed to stop the crowd. Meanwhile, the Pakistani army had to be called in to control the situation. Giving details in the case, police said, a mob attacked a Hindu temple in Bhong town of Rahim Yar Khan district, about 590 km from Lahore. Police claimed that the attack took place after the alleged insult to the Muslim madrassa.

The case alleges that an eight-year-old child urinated near the madrassa last week, creating tension in the area. However, Hindus and Muslims have been living here peacefully for decades. On the other hand, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vanakwani, MP of Prime Minister Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), shared a video of the incident on his Twitter wall last Wednesday, which you can see here. With this video, he appealed to law enforcement agencies to reach the spot and save the temple from demolition.
In fact, in a series of tweets, he wrote, "A Hindu temple has been attacked in Bhong town of Rahim Yar Khan district of Punjab. The situation has been tense since yesterday. The negligence of the local police is very shameful. The Chief Justice should go ahead and take action. Maintaining religious harmony is the need of the hour.'' There are reports that the situation has now been brought under control and the crowd has been removed. A police official said rangers have been deployed around the Hindu temple. However, no one has been arrested so far.
