In Assam, a big news has come from Tinsukia district. In fact, last Saturday, a 28-year-old man was beaten to death by a mob in a village here on suspicion of being an animal thief. The victim's accomplice reportedly fled the spot. In fact, Tinsukia Superintendent of Police Debojit Deori spoke about the matter. He said, "The incident took place late on Saturday night in Korzonga Borpathar village under Bagjan police station of the district when the duo was found near a shed built to house a cow in a house."

The officer also informed that "Police has constituted a Special Investigation Team headed by Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ) who will investigate the matter. The Special Investigation Team has detained 12 suspects of the village in the case." He further said, "The victim has been identified as Sart Moran (28), a resident of No.1 Kordoiguri village.''

On the other hand, villagers say that the owner of the house saw two men near the shed built to keep his cow around 1:30 pm and raised an alarm. He further said that people then gathered at the spot and started beating them. In the case, the Superintendent of Police said that the incident was reported to the police around 4.30 am. Police then took the man to Dumduma Government Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
