Actually, yesterday, Anil Deshmukh visited the entire jail and while talking to journalists said, 'The conditions of the jail are very good. There will be scope for improvement in these and wherever. That too will be fulfilled.'
Along with this, Anil Deshmukh also said that 'Yerwada jails including all the jails of Maharashtra also did a very good job in preventing the spread of corona epidemic. Although some cases of corona had come up in the state prisons in the early days, the way it was done under control after that, is praiseworthy. With the help of prison officials and doctors, the epidemic was stopped from spreading in the prison. For this, I heartily greet all the jail staff and doctors.'
Apart from this, he also said that the number of inmates in the jails in the state is very high. In many jails, this number is more than 3 times. By the way, all of you will know that the proposal to build a new jail was also discussed with Anil Deshmukh a few days ago with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
