Modi, Putin exchanged views on bilateral ties via telephonic conference

Moscow [Russia], Jan 04 (NT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin have exchanged their views on the development of bilateral relations and in progress worldwide issues.

As per to the Kremlin, President Putin had telephonic talks with Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday as Both the cream of the crops exchanged New Year good wishes and were deep-rooted in their commitment to further developing the privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India, and decided to carry on top-level contacts.

Before December 30, President Putin wished Prime Minister Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind in his yearly New Year greetings.

In a press release statement from the Kremlin, Putin illustrated that the passing year has been observed with a key landmark in the Indo-Russian relations, as it fulfilled 70 years.

Being pleased about the ending of bilateral contacts in 2017, the Russian President showed confidence in further advancing the privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India in politics, trade, economy, science, technology and culture as major spots in the forthcoming year.

Putin also went into raptures over India's growing constructive cooperation within the United Nations (UN), BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and other multilateral bodies in the interests of working out on present regional and global concerns. (NT)
