The month of August has brought joy to the general public with rain. Yes, from August 1st, many things are going to change. Now, the service is going to be free for money transactions, with it will be cheaper to buy electric vehicles like cars and bikes. Apart from all this, buying a home in Noida and Greater Noida will also be cheaper. All these mean that this month people are going to benefit only and now people are going to save money. The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the scrapping of the IMPS charge and will come into effect from August 1, 2019. So now electricity is going to be cheaper in Delhi. The new rate of electricity will be valid from August 1 and the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) announced the new rates on Wednesday.

As per the new rates, a fixed charge of rs 20 will be required for a meter with a load of up to two kilowatts, whereas earlier the charge was Rs 125, i.e., a fixed charge of Rs 100 for a meter loaded with 2 kilowatts. At the same time, a fixed charge for a meter above 2 kilowatts but less than 5 kilowatts will now be charged as fixed charge and you know that it was earlier to pay Rs 140. At the same time, fixed charge of a meter above 5 KW has been reduced from Rs.175 to Rs.100.

It will be cheaper to buy electric vehicles from August 1. In fact, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council has cut the rate of GST on battery-run cars and scooters and reduced the tax rates on electric vehicles from 12 per cent to 5 per cent at the GST Council meeting. At the same time, GST rates on chargers have been reduced from 18 per cent to 12 per cent. The decision is likely to make buying a car cheaper by up to Rs 70,000.
