New Delhi. On the issue of inflation, the government has taken a big decision on the canteen made for MPs, visitors and press people in the Parliament of the country. From now on, no one will be subsidized in the canteen of Parliament. On this, the parties and the opposition together have decided that subsidy will not be available in the canteen. According to the information received, the government spends 17 crores on the subsidy of the Parliament canteen.

It has been told that all the parties have decided that the subsidy should be abolished on the food found in the canteen of Parliament House. After this decision, the cost of food in the canteen will now be determined according to the cost. In the last Lok Sabha, the subsidy bill was reduced by increasing the price of canteen food. Now the subsidy has been completely eliminated. According to the details given under the Right to Information (RTI), a total of 73,85,62,474 rupees have been spent as subsidy to Parliament Katins from the year 2012-13 to 2016-17.

If we look at the situation of the last five years, it is found that in the year 2012-13, Rs 12,52,01867 was given on the cheap food of the MPs, in the year 2013-14, Rs 14,09,69082 was given as subsidy. In the same sequence, subsidy of Rs 15,85,46612 was given in 2014-15, Rs 15,97,91259 in year 2015-16 and Rs 15,40,53365 for providing cheap food to MPs in year 2016-17.
