New Delhi: To give a befitting reply to China, the Government of India has approved the proposal to construct 18 roads in Arunachal Pradesh. These roads will be built near the border of China. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy has given information about this. He told that the 18 roads to be built in Arunachal Pradesh will have a length of 1607 km. Its cost price will be Rs 1175 crore.

He said this when he was addressing the soldiers on the 58th foundation day of the ITBP (Indo Tibetan Border Police). He said that the government wants to make ITBP more powerful. He has said that two choppers will be given to ITBP soon. These will help in transporting everything from ration to other inaccessible places. He said that on the basis of priority of ITBP, there are plans to construct 45 new roads in different boundaries at a cost of Rs 20 thousand crores.

From 2014 till now 23 new border outpost posts will be prepared from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh. ITBP has proposed to create 42 new posts. G. Kishan Reddy has said that ITBP has been protecting the country on India's borders for the last 57 years. Its jawans are engaged in service even in odd conditions at an altitude of nine thousand feet.
