New Delhi: The Group of Ministers headed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah will oversee the disposal of over 9,400 enemy assets. It is expected to bring in revenue of about one lakh crore rupees. As per the official order, the Enemy shall also constitute two other high-powered committees for the disposal of immovable enemy assets under the Department of Enemy Property Protection of India under the Property Act. One committee will be headed by Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba and others co-chaired by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla.

The order stated that an inter-ministerial group would be constituted for disposal of enemy assets and it would be co-chaired by the Union Home Secretary and Secretary of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management. The representatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Economic Affairs, Department of Expenditure, Department of Public Enterprises, Law Department, Ministry of Corporate Affairs will be members of the Inter-Ministerial Group.
