New Delhi: The Modi government at the Centre is likely to make a big announcement for exporters today. According to sources, the Commerce Minister is likely to make a big announcement for exporters at a press conference at 4:30 pm. According to sources, a relief of Rs 50,000 crores could be announced to exporters. The old dues of MEIS and SCIES will be paid soon. It also plans to provide relief from losses to exporters due to rising freight.

According to media reports, the government is in the process of increasing exports. That's why big announcements can happen. At the same time, goods and fares are becoming costlier to export to exporters. Now the government is going to take steps to provide relief to these traders. There is also a plan to promote agriculture exports. India has become one of the top 10 exporting agricultural products in 2019 on the basis of farmers.

According to the World Trade Organization's (WTO) 25-year Agri export trend, India has become one of the top countries in the world in exports of rice, cotton, soybeans, and meat. India accounted for 3.1 percent of the world's total agricultural product exports in 2019 and Mexico 3.4 percent. Mexico replaced seventh-ranked Malaysia, while India replaced 9th-ranked New Zealand. China was ranked sixth in 1995 but moved up to number four in 2019.
