New Delhi: Efforts are being made to promote the use of electric vehicles by the Modi government to meet the challenge of air pollution and fuel in the country. The Modi government has approved 670 new electric buses for Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Chandigarh in the second phase of ' Fame India '. 241 Charjig stations have also been sanctioned at Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Gujarat and Port Blair.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has informed on Friday that the Modi government is committed to encourage environment friendly public transport. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar himself has been using electric cars for the past one year. His experience with electric vehicles has been very spectacular. He has also inspired others to use such trains.

Javadekar briefed about the second phase of fame India on Friday and said that the propagation and dissemination of electric vehicles under the visionary leadership of PM Modi is increasing. I have been using electric train for the last one year. The electric train has a very good experience. One rupee kilometres is fuel charge. In one unit, the train travels ten kms. Now, a lot of trains have started coming, which are also cheap and good.
