Office time to be 12 hours from October 1, Modi govt to make major changes

New Delhi: There is going to be a big change for job seekers from October next month. In fact, the Modi government is considering changing the rules (New Wage Code) of labour law from October 1. If this rule applies, your office time will increase from October 1. The new labour law remarks about working 12 hours a day. At the same time, your hand salary will also be affected by this law.

The central government wanted to bring the rules into effect from April 1, 2021, in the new labour code, but were postponed due to the non-preparation of states and giving companies more time to change HR policy. According to the Labour Ministry, the government wanted to notify the labour code rules from July 1, but the states sought more time to implement the rules, which led to their suspension till October 1.

Now the Labour Ministry and the Modi government want to notify the labour code rules by October 1. Parliament changed the rules relating to three labour codes, industrial relations, work safety, health and working conditions and social security in August 2019. These rules were passed in September 2020.
