Uttar Pradesh:  While opening the Bundelkhand Expressway in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his and  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government will bring development not just to the metropolis but also to the rural.

He asked CM Yogi to create a tourist route for people passing through the area along the expressway.
"I was confident that this state would become one that could compete against all odds if two things -- the law and order situation and connectivity-- were to improve. The first issue was the bad law and order situation, and the second was bad connectivity. We improved both. Law and order situation is improving, and so is connectivity," PM Modi said.

"This road would speed up the growth of Bundelkhand's industrial sector in addition to the movement of automobiles. On both sides of this highway, there will be a large number of industries developed. Facilities for cold storage will be installed. This will help the defence corridor that is being set up as well. The expressway would guarantee seamless connection and promote regional economic development. An industrial boom in the area will result from the construction of this road. The Modi and Yogi government would provide development to villages as well as cities" he added.

The prime minister stated that attempts are being made to connect different parts of the state with aviation routes when discussing the development work done in the state in terms of connectivity. These facilities "give the tourism business a boost," he added.

"There is a sizable fort-related tourism business in many European nations. Visitors come from all over the world to see the forts. I request the Yogi government to create a tourism circuit for the public to visit these forts after the Bundelkhand Expressway is finished. I also implore CM Yogi to hold a competition to scale the forts once winter arrives.
