Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi's eldest son Navjit Singhs marriage is going to begin on Sunday i.e. Today. He will be married to Simrandhir Kaur, a resident of Amala village in Derabassi. His Anand Karaj will be at Gurudwara Sacha Dhan Sahib at Phase-3B1, Mohali. The wedding ceremony will be simple.

Gurudwara has been decorated with attractive flowers for the same wedding. The decoration is made with white and sentry roses. The district police have beefed up security in the area. The wedding will take place normally at Gurudwara Sacha Dhan Sahib in Phase-3B1. Tea and snacks have been arranged for the guests after the wedding. On the other hand, gurudwara sahib is being discussed with close friends of the chief minister and ministers of the Punjab cabinet beside the family. Finance Ministers Manpreet Singh Badal, Aruna Chaudhary, Kuljit Singh Nagara and Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu are also expected to arrive to bless the bride and groom.

In addition, assembly speaker Rana KP, MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu and several other dignitaries are likely to arrive. Earlier, the event was scheduled to be held at a hotel in Zirakpur. But it has been kept simple due to the busy schedule of the Chief Minister. However, the wedding ceremony has been going on for three days. Shagun's ceremony took place in Morinda. While there was a concert at the Hotel in Kharar. The chief minister's son's wedding reception will be held at night at a hotel in Kharar on Monday. Veteran Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to join it as Chief Minister Channi is considered very close to Rahul.
