New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), the capital city of the country, has once again been mired in controversies. This time, posters of Jinnah have been put in the university campus. Last Monday night, some anti-social elements wrote BR Ambedkar Marg in white paint on the sign board of freedom fighter Vinay Damodar Savarkar Marg inside the campus. After some time, they pasted posters of Jinnah.

In the morning, the photo of Jinnah was removed from there and written back to Ambedkar Marg by paint. Shivam Chaurasia, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), says this shameful act has been done by anti-social elements. We demand full investigation from the college administration. However, no written complaint has been given to the JNU administration or police at present.

Let us tell you that a few days ago, a road inside the campus was named Vinay Damodar Savarkar Marg by the JNU administration. The students objected to this decision of the campus. President of JNU Students' Union, Ishi Ghosh, took a strong condemnation and tweeted and targeted the JNU administration. But the JNU administration stood firm on its decision and did not change the name of the road.
