Raipur: Soil of Kaushalya temple will reach Ayodhya in 14 days. It will be used in the Bhumi Pujan of Ram Temple. On Thursday, cow devotee Mohammad Faiz Khan has left for Ayodhya on foot after taking soil from the Mata Kaushalya temple at Chandkuri, Raipur. He will reach Ayodhya on August 5 so that the soil of the village will be included in the Bhoomi Pujan of the Ram temple. This is a gift from Chhattisgarh to the grand temple.

Starting from Raipur's Jaistambh Chowk, this padayatra will reach Ayodhya after covering a distance of 796 km via Bilaspur, Amarkantak, Shahdol, Prayagraj. Faiz Khan, who hails from Raipur, is identified as a Gobhakta and a Ramkatha Vachak. At the beginning of the journey, he said that even though the Ram's place Dakshin Kaushal is now known as Chhattisgarh, Ram still lives in people's heart. Shri Ram also passed from his city during his 14-year exile.

He said that according to the Sanatan tradition, Nanihal contributes in every auspicious work. The people here have a desire and belief that in the construction of the grand temple of Lord Ram, an offering will also be given on behalf of Kaushalya Temple. This is a Bhancha offering from the people of Chhattisgarh. Faiz will travel around 60 kilometres daily to reach Ayodhya. A program to lay the foundation stone of the Ram temple is proposed in the presence of PM Narendra Modi on August 5.
