The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a day earlier that former captain Mohammad Hafeez has been found to be 'positive' for ovid-19, but his test has come 'negative' a day later. Hafeez and Wahab Riaz are among the ten players selected in the squad for the England tour, whose test for Covid-19 was 'positive' on Tuesday, 23 June 2020. The team is scheduled to leave for England on Sunday for the series of Tests and T20 matches.

According to the information, Hafeez clarified on Twitter on Wednesday that the tests of him and his family members have come 'negative' and he has also posted a medical report in evidence of his claim.

He tweeted, 'After yesterday's PCB test report found positive for Covid-19, I went for a second opinion for my satisfaction to get myself tested with my family members. And our report has come negative. He has also said that Allah will protect us all.
