New Delhi: In a joint operation, the Special Cell of Delhi Police and Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a hawala agent from Turkman Gate in the national capital, who used to fund terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Al Badr through hawala. The hawala operator, Identified as Mohammad Yasin, had also sent Rs 10 lakh to a terrorist from Kashmir, which was later used for terror activities.

According to the report, it is being told that the Delhi Police had received information through the agencies of the Center that a hawala agent was working from Meena Bazar. He is working to raise funds for terrorists. On the basis of that input, a team was formed and then on Friday, Mohammad Yasin was arrested from Turkman Gate.
