New Delhi: Team India suffered a major setback before the start of the T20 series against Australia. Actually, India's fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been found corona infected, due to which he was completely out of the series. All this happened at a time when Team India players had started reaching Mohali. Almost, this is very bad news for Mohammed Shami, who is returning to the T20 team after a year.

The news of Mohammed Shami being corona infected has come out on September 17, in such a situation, he will be under complete medical care. The T20 series against Australia starts on September 20 and will end on September 25. In such a situation, he will not be able to participate in it. If Mohammed Shami's recovery is on time, then he can be part of the T20 series against South Africa starting on September 28. India is scheduled to play T20Is against South Africa on September 28, October 2 and October 4. This is followed by a three-match ODI series.

Mohammed Shami last played a T20 match for India in the T20 World Cup 2021. About a year later, he was selected for the team, as well as he was included as a reserve player for the T20 World Cup 2022. However, he could also be included in the main squad if needed. Let me tell you that, there is still a month left for the World Cup to start, in such a situation, Mohammed Shami can easily recover from Corona by then. Therefore, there is no possibility of being out of the T20 World Cup 2022. It remains to be seen how soon he gets match fit.
